Roy “Chance-Waster” Präger, the old hand, played 90 Bundesliga matches for Wolfsburg, helped them win promotion in 1997, and was voted Lower Saxony Footballer of the Year in 1998. After a spell at Hamburg he returned and later stayed with the club in marketing and youth development.
